Master filmmaker Makoto Shinkai never stops working. His previous film, 2019's "Weathering With You," received plenty of acclaim, and the movie before that, 2016's "Your Name," was a global phenomenon. His newest film, "Suzume no Tojimari," will be released later this year.

GKIDS announced late last year that they had picked up the rights for the movie "Pompo the Cinephile." The original Japanese version was released last June and the English Blu-Ray release earlier this year. Only now does it make its way to the American big screen.
Toy company Mattel and online streaming giant Netflix announced they are working on a live-action movie adaptation of the Masters of the Universe franchise.

During Netflix's online fan event titled Tundum held on September 25th, they unveiled the opening to the highly anticipated live-action series adaptation of the 1998 Cowboy Bebop anime. The opening is a faithful recreation of the original anime's including Yoko Kanno's "TANK!" song. The original director for the anime, Shinichiro Watanabe serves as a consultant for the live-action series.
Cowboy Bebop will be released on November 19 on Netflix.
