  • Japanese girl group, NiziU released a video of their newest song "Chopstick" today. Check out this super catchy song in Japanese with awesome K-pop visuals. Chopstick also appears to be the title song of their upcoming first album, U.

  • The performers for one of Japan’s most important New Year show, the 69th Kouhaku Uta Gassen has been announced. Kouhaku is an annual music show aired by the Japanese broadcasting company NHK on New Year's Eve. The performers are separated into two teams, red for the females, and white for the males. Only the most popular performers are invited to the show and at the end of the night, the audience votes on which team performed better.

    Some of the highlights this year include South Korean pop group TWICE and pop group Little Glee Monster making their second appearances in a row, DAOKO making her first appearance who is best known for her music in the mobile game Dragalia Lost, and HYDE’s (L’Arc-en-Ciel, Vamps) first appearance teaming up with the legendary YOSHIKI. The idol group Aqours from the anime Love Live Sunshine!! and performers from the musical adaptation of the mobile game Touken Ranbu, will also be making a special appearance.

  • In honor of World Tetris Day, K-Pop sensation aespa has officially released their latest music video, "Hold On Tight," which serves as part of the official soundtrack for the acclaimed Apple Original Film, Tetris.

    The catchy tune is a modernized rendition of the iconic Tetris theme song, "Korobeiniki." Comprised of members Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning, aespa is a girl group under the management of SM Entertainment, hailing from South Korea.

  • KPOP group BlackPink announced on Good Morning America in front of hundreds of American Blinks that they will be starting a North American tour in April 2019. 

  • The BLACKPINK 2019 WORLD TOUR with KIA [IN YOUR AREA], currently in Seoul is coming soon to North America, Europe and Australia. Making their way through Asia, the group will be visiting Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Taiwan in the next two months. Tickets to see the South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment, consisting of members Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé have been selling out quickly.

  • Korean pop group Davichi will be holding a concert in San Francisco at the Herbst Theatre on June 29th at 7:30PM. Ticket prices will start at $90 and upwards to $290 for box seats. Online tickets sales begin on Sunday June 2, 2019 at 12:01 AM PST at City Box Office.

  • K-pop powerhouse EVERGLOW is set to embark on their 2024 "Pulse & Heart" tour, marking their return to the international stage after a series of successful releases and promotions. The tour kicks off on September 18th in Los Angeles at The Orpheum Theatre and will take the group through major cities across the United States, including San Francisco, Tacoma, Denver, Chicago, and New York, before wrapping up in Phoenix on October 6th. This tour follows the group's recent comeback, which included the release of their fifth single album, Zombie, on June 10, 2024. The lead single, produced by Grammy-winning team The Stereotypes and 9am, quickly climbed the charts, solidifying EVERGLOW's status as one of the top groups in the K-pop scene.

  • K-Pop group TWICE has released the highly anticipated music video for their latest song, "FANCY." The video has garnered roughly 40 million views in the span of 24 hours, breaking the group's previous 24 hour view record of 31.4 million views.

  • Hyuna wrapped up her first North American tour with performances in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Missed it? Don’t worry—Wave-K (a division of The-O Network) has got you covered with photos, videos, and detailed coverage. Following the restructuring of CUBE Entertainment, Hyuna has become the face of the agency, and she did not disappoint on stage. If this tour is any indication of her typical live performances, she deserves more recognition in the industry. With so many K-pop idols and groups coming to North America, it’s easy for some to fly under the radar, but Hyuna made sure she didn’t.

  • On January 20, 2019 JYP Entertainment introduced their newest girl group, ITZY with members Yuna, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, Lia, and Yeji. The group’s name is comes from the Korean word that means “is there."

  • As part of the birthday celebration of the highly popular Vocaloid Hatsune Miku, the Vocaloid 3 Korean Mascot was revealedealier this week. Banking on the ever popular moe style, SeeU is a cat girl illustrated by Kkuem that just oozes adorableness. I know a lot of people love Hatsune Miku, but the cat ears and flowing hair won me over at a glance. She's voiced by Kim Tahi (Dahee), a super cute singer part of the up and coming K-pop group GLAM which has yet to debut.

  • South Korean boy group NCT DREAM, formed by SM Entertainment, will be kicking off the first leg of their US tour this month in Los Angeles, California on September 12 and spans multiple cities like New York, D.C., and Chicago before wrapping up in Europe with shows in the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, France, and the U.K.

  • Revealed originally back in August 2019, YouTube will be releasing an eight-episode documentary featuring K-pop girl group TWICE on April 29 titled TWICE: Seize the Light through their YouTube Originals platform. The documentary will include in-depth interviews and behind the scenes footage covering their 2019 world tour in Asia and North America, TWICELIGHTS.

  • TWICE, the highly popular K-pop girl group, has touched down in Los Angeles for the upcoming Billboard Women in Music Awards where they are set to accept an award on March 1st.

  • TWICE was announced to appear at this year's 68th NHK K?haku Uta Gassen.  

    K?haku Uta Gassen is one of Japan's top-rated musical event held every year on New Year's Eve.  The musical event consists of two team, the red team and white team competing against each other.  This year, TWICE will be on the red team alongside returning performers Perfume, AKB48, and many more.  TWICE's appearance will be first K-pop group to ever perform at K?haku since 2011.

    68th K?haku Uta Gassen will air on December 31 from 19:15 JST  to 23:45 JST.

  • Hot off the heels of TWICE's latest music video release of "MORE & MORE", TWICE's Japanese Youtube channel has released a new music video titled "Fanfare". This upbeat song's release date was speculated to originally coincide with the 2020 Tokyo Olympic which has been postponed due to the global pandemic.

    Regardless, the new single will be released on July 8th, 2020. In the meantime, check out the new video!
