Global K-pop groups aespa and RIIZE have been revealed as the opening and ending theme artists for the upcoming anime adaptation of KILL BLUE, based on the manga by Tadatoshi Fujimaki. The opening theme “ATTITUDE” by aespa is now available for streaming and download, while RIIZE performs the ending theme “KILL SHOT,” marking the group’s first TV anime theme song.
aespa shared their excitement about the collaboration, stating,
“We’re excited to share that aespa has been selected as the opening theme artist for the anime KILL BLUE. The title of the song is ‘ATTITUDE.’ We believe the track perfectly matches the fast-paced energy of KILL BLUE. To everyone who’s looking forward to the series, we hope you enjoy the world of KILL BLUE together with our opening theme, ‘ATTITUDE’!”
RIIZE also commented on their contribution, saying,
“‘KILL SHOT’ is a track that captures the world of KILL BLUE, where ‘the front and the back’ and ‘the ordinary and the extraordinary’ intersect. Centered around a rock-inspired sound, the song features aggressive drum beats blended with breakbeats, creating a powerful impact. We hope you enjoy the song along with the anime’s story.”
Produced by CUE, KILL BLUE follows legendary assassin Juzo Ogami, who is mysteriously transformed into a 13-year-old middle schooler and ordered to infiltrate a school while searching for a way to return to his original body.
