Toei Company, Ltd. is bringing a major 55th anniversary celebration for the iconic Kamen Rider franchise to LA Comic Con 2026, running from October 30 through November 1 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Created by Shotaro Ishinomori in 1971, the tokusatsu superhero series has grown to encompass over 30 television installments and dozens of theatrical releases. The upcoming convention showcase will highlight the franchise’s rich legacy while introducing its current chapter, Kamen Rider MY-TH, and celebrating the conclusion of Kamen Rider ZEZTZ for North American fans and media.

Dragon Ball kicked off the first day of New York Comic Con as 3,000 fans filled the Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Special Panel for the world premiere screening of Episode 1. The screening occurred three days ahead of the series' scheduled premiere in Japan on Sunday, October 11. Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is an enhanced edition of Dragon Ball Super, based on Akira Toriyama's original work, featuring newly added and redrawn cuts along with a reconstructed narrative.
The special panel also showcased the Super Surge Trailer along with updates spanning the entire DRAGON BALL series, including a run of announcement videos and the S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan 4 Son Goku -Exclusive Edition- figure. The launch is supported by an out-of-home advertising push featuring wrapped buses in New York and Los Angeles, subway and bus-stop visuals, and promotional displays across 28 Simon malls nationwide.”

Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Walpurgisnacht: Rising- Set for January 2027 Theatrical Release
During NYCC 2026, Aniplex of America and Fathom Entertainment have announced that Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Walpurgisnacht: Rising- will premiere exclusively in theaters from January 16–19, 2027. The anticipated feature film will be available in both subtitled and English-dubbed formats across participating locations, with tickets scheduled to go on sale online on December 11, 2026. Directed by Akiyuki Shimboh, written by Gen Urobuchi (NITRO PLUS), and produced by studio SHAFT, the film continues the series' story with character designs by aokiume, parallel world designs by Gekidan InuCurry (Doroinu), and music composed by Yuki Kajiura.
One of the biggest anime announcements at Anime Expo 2026 was the first world premiere reveal of Jurassic Shadows (Ryugesho no Shinobi), an original anime directed by Norihiro Naganuma, best known for his visually stunning work on The Apothecary Diaries and Ancient Magus Bride. The panel featured Naganuma alongside producers Tomokazu Iizumi (Avex Pictures) and Toshiaki Obata (SlowCurve). They unveiled the project's first promotional trailer and concept artwork to a packed audience at the Los Angeles Convention Center. All the attendees would be the first audience in the world to see both the promotional video and the official key visual.

The energy at Anime Expo 2026 reached an all time high this weekend as Amuse Creative Studio took to the main stage for their highly anticipated New Anime Launch Event. Led by moderator Lisle Wilkerson, the panel offered a star-studded look at the future of animation, featuring the creators of the global webtoon sensation Eleceed and the visionary artist behind the new original project Re:bel Robotica.
