The terrifying journey of twin sisters Mio and Mayu Amakura is receiving a modern revival as FATAL FRAME II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE is officially scheduled to launch on March 12, 2026. Developed by Team NINJA, the remake will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam.

To give fans an early taste of the updated "Lost Village," a playable demo will be released across all platforms on March 5, 2026. In a further surprise, Koei Tecmo has announced a historic collaboration with Konami’s Silent Hill f. This partnership will bring free collaboration costumes to the game as downloadable content, allowing players to bridge the worlds of two of Japan's most iconic horror franchises.
