Through its twitter, Capcom Unity has announced an event in Los Angeles on April 23. Referring to readers as "Street Fighters," the tweet is likely hinting at a launch event for Super Street Fighter IV, which will come out on April 27. Little else has been revealed at the moment, but if the event will be anything like Street Figher IV's launch, fans can expect a night of Street Fighter, a chance to see some of the most important people in the Street Fighter community, and a plethora of freebies. Disney's movie adaptation of Ubisoft's Prince of Persia The Sands of Time video game has been confirmed to appear at this year's WonderCon. Tentatively scheduled, Producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Director Mike Newell, actor Jake Gyllenhaal who plays Prince Dastan, and interestingly, video game designer and creator for the Prince of Persia series, Jordan Mechner, are set to appear at a 12:15PM panel on Saturday April 3, 2010. Mechner is one of the first and currently only video game creator to adapt his own creation. WonderCon is hosted by the same organizers as Comic-Con International in San Diego, and will be held at the Moscone Center South in San Francisco from April 2-4, 2010.

During an interview with Dengeki PlayStation Magazine, Director Katura Hashino, of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 fame, hinted at the next Persona game. Hashino stated that he wants to keep the core Persona elements while making some improvements. The Persona series have been very successful ever since the release of Persona 3 back in 2007, leading to the creation of an anime based on the Persona universe called Persona: Trinity Souls. With the expected release of a Persona game, fans of JRPG have something to look forward to, but one can only hope that the game will have the same appeal as the other Persona entries. Rumors are floating around that the game may be released for the Playstation 3 - a welcome change. Till then players who are itching for a Persona fix can look forward to the Playstation Portable port of Persona 3 in July.
Less than a year after the launch of the Nintendo DSi, Nintendo announces another addition to the DS line, the tentatively named Nintendo 3DS. As the name suggests, the system will allow players to play games in 3D - even without a pair of 3D glasses. So far, there's no information as to whether the system will have higher resolution graphics than the DS. However, DS owners can rejoice because the system will be backwards compatible with DS games. According to Nintendo, they will have more information available at E3 and the system will go on sale in the fiscal year starting in April 2010 and ending in March 2011.
NIS America has announced Tuesday that they will be bringing Trinity Universe Stateside for the Playstation 3. The game is a collaboration project among Nippon Ichi Software, Gust, and Idea Factory aimed at the RPG audience. We had previously mentioned about this game when it was first announced for Japan here. Probably the most exciting feature is that fans will be able to see their favorite characters from both the Disgaea and Atelier series, such as Etna and Flonne, rendered in 3D for the first time! Players can get their hands on the game this coming June.
