Rei Hiroe is the creator and author of the popular manga series, Black Lagoon. The manga has received an anime adaptation, with a third season that debuted in North America at Anime Expo 2010. Hiroe himself was at Anime Expo to celebrate the screening, and we got a brief chance to talk to him a little bit about his work.

Internet sensation Danny Choo made his first official American appearance on June 30, 2010 at one of the largest anime conventions in the United States, Anime Expo. Choo runs the internationally recognized otaku blog, dannychoo.com which covers topics ranging from anime, figures, and Japanese culture. His website's popularity has spawned a plethora of merchandise including a future figure of his mascot Mirai, and an anime adaptation titled Chinka. Choo is also known for his Tokyo Stormtrooper dancing videos in Japan. Living the otaku dream, Choo works with various anime related companies including figure maker Goodsmile Company and more recently starring his own television show, Culture: Japan.

BENI, formerly known as Beni Arashiro, is an up and coming Japanese Pop and R&B singer. She's been recognized by anime audiences for her work in Eyeshield 21 for "Goal" and Kim Possible for "Call Me, Beep Me." To celebrate her new album, Lovebox, which debuted #1 on Oricon's weekly charts, BENI will heading a tour in Japan. Before doing so, she made an appearance at Anime Expo 2010 as a guest of honor and we had the honor of sitting down and having a brief chat with her.

One of Japan's most popular novel and gaming artists, Noizi Ito made her first official American appearance on April 2, 2010 at Sakura-Con in Seattle, Washington. Ito-sensei is probably best known for her work as the original character designer for Shakugan no Shana and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya light novels. Both series grew immensely popular spawning anime and manga adaptations. We were able to sit down with Ito-sensei to discuss a little about herself as well as her past and future work.
