Mamoru Miyano is probably best known for his voice acting work as Death the Kid from Soul Eater, Setsuna F. Seiei from Gundam 00, Tamaki Suoh from Ouran High School Host Club, and Light Yamagi from Death Note. Apart from voice acting, Miyano has also started pursuing a singing careering back in 2007. Miyano was also invited to perform on August 22, 2009 at the 5th anniversary of one of the largest anime themed concerts, Animelo Summer Live. May Nakabayashi, best known as May'n on stage, made her major break in 2008 as the singing voice of Sheryl Nome from Macross Frontier. May'n returned to perform at this year's Animelo Summer Live, one of the largest anime themed concert, on August 22, 2009. Unfortunately due to scheduling issues, we were unable to arrange for a full interview. We were able to get a quick photoshoot and a few questions in briefly with her.

Patrick W. Galbraith is the author of the recently published The Otaku Encyclopedia. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Tokyo where he is doing his cultural anthropological study on otaku culture, primarily its history and particularly the phenomenon of moé. He is also the tour guide for the "Akihabara Tour", a walking tour for English speaking tourists that visit the otaku Mecca. He is a well known face in the pop-capitol with his iconic cosplay of Super Saiyan Goku from Dragon Ball Z. In combination with a review of his latest book, we interviewed Mr. Galbraith on his life and thoughts on otaku culture.

We were given a brief chance to speak with Yasuhiro Nightow, creator of Trigun, and the Director of the new Trigun movie, Satoshi Nishimura before the start of Anime Expo 2009. Surprisingly, Nightow turned out to be a very funny and laid-back person. Before we knew it, our interview sidetracked and turned into a relaxed conversation. Regardless, we have omitted the personal comments and have only included questions and answers relating to both men's work.
