Starting July 6th, Monogatari Series: Second Season will be aired as a continuation of the anime adaption of Nisio Ishin's popular Monogatari light novel series.
The anime is directed by Itamura Tomoyuki, with the series directed by Shinbou Akiyuki, and characters designed by Akio Watanabe. The voice acting cast has remained the same since Nisemonogatari, but no further news about new characters or casts are available at this time.
The series will be running for two seasons (a span of six months), covering the Nekomonogatari (White), Kabukimonogatari, Hanamonogatari, Otorimonogatari, Onimonogatari and Koimonogatari story arcs. Several lines from each arcs also said by the characters according to the recent trailer.
In addition to this great news, Luna Haruna (Sword Art Online, Fate/Zero) will also be singing the ending theme song. The new song is titled "AIWOUTAE" (????????). This new tune will be different compared to Haruna's previous songs. It will be composed by Jin (also known as Shizen no Teki-P). He is a popular producer and received a novel and manga adaptation that connects all of his songs, called Kagerou Project. The new single will be released on July 24, 2013 in Japan.
