UPDATED: SCANDAL World Tour 2022 "MIRROR"

UPDATE: The worst case scenario has come to fruition.  The hopes would be that Tomomi was the only one to become infected and that she would get over it quickly.  It is not unheard of for someone to be back on their feet in less than a week.  Sadly, the exact opposite happened: the rest of the band began showing symptoms.  This is not unexpected, give how close bands are.  Management has officially pulled the stops on the North American leg of the MIRROR World Tour.  Tickets will be refunded.  With any luck we might be able to see the band again after they do the rest of the world tour but that is to be determined.

The SCANDAL World Tour 2022 "MIRROR" has, unfortunately, hit a snag.

Tomomi Ogawa, bassist for the band, has tested positive for COVID 19.  As far as immediate actions go, the band has cancelled their 7/16 (Chicago) and 7/18 (Vancouver) shows.  The shows may be rescheduled but for an international tour, this isn't a sure thing.  Like most tours, bands follow a set schedule and path around a country.  It's not so easy to just tack on extra dates to a tour.  As the band is from Japan, they would also have a set date they'd fly back on.  Depending on how things go, this may spell the end of the tour.

The California show, slated for 7/22 in Anaheim, is still a possibility, but it entirely depends on how fast Tomomi recovers.  The virus hits everyone differently and some people recover lightning quick, while others take weeks before they feel back to their old selves.

We'll keep you updated as we know more.
