NEMOPHILA Releases New Single "ADABANA"

NEMOPHILA has just premiered their newest single, ADABANA, about an hour ago.  Give it a listen.

It does not immediately start off as heavy as their previous release, A Ray of Light, but makes up for it shortly after. It's got a nice groove to it. It's been about two years since the band got onto the world stage and it seems like they've really hit their stride. I'm really impressed by them. I can see where mayu was coming from when she said that the lineup was too good to only have around temporarily.

The band was also on NHK World Japan's segment Songs of Tokyo performing the song REVIVE. Check it out at the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_Kiru9MbPw  Due to NHK Japan's embed limitations I am unable to post it here.

And, as a reminder, NEMOPHILA will be performing at Whisky-a-Go-Go in West Hollywood on 7/1/22. For those of you going to Anime Expo, take an Uber, beg a friend to drive you, whatever it takes. I recommend this band and this show wholeheartedly.

Tickets are $15. Doors at 7PM, show at 8PM. You can purchase tickets over here.

If you can't make it, they'll also be streaming it worldwide. You can purchase a streaming ticket over at https://l-tike.zaiko.io/e/nemophila0716. Note that the price is 4000 yen (about $30 USD at press time) so it's actually cheaper to go in person to the concert if you're in LA.  I've been doing my best to convince friends to make the journey with me (downtown LA and West Hollywood aren't the closest, after all).

For those of you who like festivals, NEMOPHILA will also be appearing at Aftershock up in Sacramento, CA, this October.

I like how NEMOPHILA is making an international push between the Whisky-a-Go-Go show, Aftershock, having subtitles on their videos, streaming their concerts, and more.  In the past, Japan has been notorious for not making inroads with international fans and in the past, there were very few bands you would be able to see regularly outside of Japan.  I'm hoping that we'll be seeing NEMOPHILA stateside more and more.
