The Art of Demon Slayer: the Anime Volume One includes countless memorable scenes from the first arc of the anime (26 episodes). Fans of the series should check out this art book and relive notable scenes from the show. This book is a collection of illustrations produced by ufotable for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime between June 2018 and March 2020.
The book contains 8 parts: Key Visuals, Promotional Illustrations, Character Art, Theatrical and events, Seasonal, Collaborations and games, Animation Production, Blu-ray & DVD/CD, followed by a section dedicated to Credits – totaling 120 pages. With over 300 illustrations, this art book is sure to have fans flipping through the pages countless times. It is worth noting that the major full-page illustrations are covered in parts 1 and 2 (Key Visuals, Promotional Illustrations). Part 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Character Art, Theatrical & Events, Seasonal and Collaborations & Games) are smaller photos of exclusive art made for certain events and promotional items. I found myself enjoying parts 4 -6 the most as there are a lot of never before seen pieces for audiences outside of Japan, such as page 70, Jump Festa 2020 promotional artwork and page 77 and 78, Chibis for Halloween, 2019. Details about each piece are captioned in the Credits section of the book.
In case you haven’t gotten your hands on the Japanese version which was released in February of last year, think about picking up a copy of the English release for your coffee table!
