Skirk, known as Childe’s elusive mentor, enters the battlefield as a 5-star Cryo wielder who uses Abyssal power disguised in elemental form. Players can switch between two unique combat styles—focusing either on sustained Normal Attacks or a powerful AoE Elemental Burst—offering strategic depth and versatility. Accompanying her is Dahlia, a new 4-star Hydro support character and Deacon of the Church of Favonius, who provides shielding, ATK speed buffs, and utility through Freeze-based reactions.
Beyond character additions, Version 5.7 marks a turning point in the game’s main narrative. The Archon Quest continues to explore the rift between the Traveler twins, as the Abyss Order’s activity intensifies in Natlan. Fan-favorite characters like Dainsleif and Mavuika take center stage as allies and defenders of the region. Players will witness never-before-seen transformations, unravel hidden truths, and progress toward a pivotal phase in the overarching story. Meanwhile, the update introduces new gameplay experiences such as the Sumeru Akademiya's simulated adventure, blending tactical team-building with randomized challenges, and the permanent combat mode "Stygian Onslaught," which pits players against rotating boss fights with escalating difficulty and high-tier rewards.

"Travelers’ Tales: Gilded Chapter" brings lighthearted slice-of-life stories from around Teyvat, featuring charming encounters with beloved characters like Thoma, Neuvillette, and Dori. Additional optimizations for mobile gameplay, resource management, and domain reward systems aim to streamline the experience for veterans and newcomers alike.
