TOMY Group Booth Coverage at Anime Expo 2025

TOMY Group came out in full swing at this year’s Anime Expo, showcasing a wide lineup of products that highlighted their latest T-SPARK hobby brand and the introduction of Gacha® capsule toy machines to the US market from their subsidiary T-ARTS. Their booth in the Entertainment Hall featured over 30 new items across eight different product lines, drawing attention from collectors, anime fans, and longtime toy enthusiasts.

For many attendees, capsule toy machines are already a familiar sight, showing up in malls and retail outlets around the country. Machines from T-ARTS, branded as Gacha®, have long been a staple in Japan. According to representatives at the booth, there currently are official plans to roll them out in the U.S., and the team was using Anime Expo to test the waters and get feedback from fans.

On the T-SPARK side, TOMY focused on appealing to adult collectors with higher-end toys and model kits. One of the more interesting displays was Q VILLAGE, a line of stylized mini toys that mix cute character designs with small vehicles and props. On display were collaborations with Back to the Future, The Fast and the Furious, and the ever-popular Initial D.

One of the more eye-catching new product lines was COLLEKAZARO, a series of 3.75-inch collectible figures that, while limited in articulation, offer sharp sculpting and impressive paintwork. The first wave includes characters from My Hero Academia and My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. The product aims to be accessible to new and seasoned collectors alike, and these look like they’d be right at home on a desk or shelf.

As someone who grew up with TOMY’s older products, it was a bit nostalgic seeing new entries in the TOYRISE line, especially toys from the Brave (Yuusha) series and from B-Daman Bakugaiden. That said, my understanding is that these were mostly there for display to gauge the interest of U.S. hobby fans.

Being a ZOIDS fan, I was also pretty excited to see kits from their 1/100 scale Realize Model (RMZ) line on display. These are non-motorized kits that prioritize articulation and anime-accurate proportions, offering an alternative to their larger 1/72 scale Advanced Zi (AZ) motorized kits. Also part of the showcase was a surprising crossover between ZOIDS and Evangelion, featured under their SYNERGENEX brand, which focuses on collaborative products with other IPs.

Overall, TOMY Group’s booth felt like a great blend of nostalgia, innovation, and pop culture celebration. With detailed displays, interactive setups, and a few surprise announcements, it was one of the more well-rounded showcases on the floor and definitely a highlight for toy collectors and hobbyists.
