Oshi no Ko Season 2 Begins this July - Special Screening and Guests at Anime Expo 2024 Announced!

Oshi no Ko's second season is set to begin this July, just in time for Anime Expo. At this point, I don't think it needs any introduction. It snuck a little under the radar last year in America for unknown reasons (I had just come back from Japan and you literally could not go a day without hearing the opening song, Idol), but they're making up for lost ground.

On Saturday, July 6, there will be a screening of season one's first episode for those of you who haven't seen it or for those who want to traumatize yourself all over again. This will be in room 403AB at 1030 AM alongside Yurie Igoma (Ruby's VA) and producer Shimpei Yamashita.

A few hours later in the Platinum Ballroom in the JW Marriott at 315 PM will be the world premiere of season two episode two. Why not episode one? Because that will have aired a few days prior on July 3. Episode one will, however, be screened right before episode two, for your viewing pleasure. Yurie Igoma and Shimpei Yamashita will again be in attendance. Expect a bit of talk show as the time slot is slated for 80 minutes and two episodes will take up about 48 minutes.

Feast your eyes on the main visual. This is emblematic of our battleground for the season. Remember, they're all actors, so it hasn't suddenly turned into a Japanese fantasy. Aqua and company join the 2.5D stage play for the fictitious franchise "Tokyo Blade."

While you're at it, take a look at Aqua and Akane's (my wife) new art.

Season two's opening theme is "Fatale" by GEMN.

Finally, the second season trailer is here:
