The game is a 2D fighter in a 3D space developed APLUS and published by Arc System Works. Producer Hiromi Wakabayashi, explains that this is not the 2D fighting game you would expect from Arc System Works. Players will be able to pull off lots of flashy moves and enjoy an original story now staring Satsuki as the lead character. She will have a final form known as Junketsu Shinzui and presumably be even stronger than Ryuko Matoi.

Kill la Kill The Game: IF is scheduled to launch in 2019 on PlayStation 4 and PC. The game will have its first public playable demo at Evo 2018, which will run from August 3 to 5 in Las Vegas.
