Sakura Wars is overwhelmingly popular in Japan. Up until March 2008, the franchise had its own store complete with a Sakura Wars inspired cafe. The series has spawned a plethora of sequels, side stories, novels, anime adaptations, and even live stage shows. Being the fifth game in the main series, and first to ever be released in the United States, can Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love hope to share some of the same success that it had overseas?

Released two years ago, No More Heroes left a large impression with its sexual references, fountains of blood, and the memorable use of toilets as save points – all of which were used tastefully or humorously, but never excessively. Now, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle brings back the shock value that Wii gamers so rarely get. The question is: is there enough new content in this game to warrant a purchase or is the game simply a rehash that tries to cash in on its mature content?

Demon’s Souls is probably the most frustrating, yet rewardingly epic, experience on the Playstation 3. There are many moments where players will want to chuck their controllers at the TV, but this game will still have them coming back for more. Demon’s Souls is one of those games that doesn’t come around very often and is a must have for fans of action and RPG games.

While a solid game, Gundam vs Gundam had its fair share of problems that needed to be addressed. A slew of new gameplay options and an expanded mobile suit roster make Gundam vs Gundam NEXT PLUS the best game Gundam fans can own for either portables or consoles.
