Square-Enix has announced a brand new third-person shooter,Gun Loco for the Xbox 360, featuring an art style and gameplay that rings more western than most titles Square Enix fans may be used to. The game will feature an exciting, fast paced single and multiplayer experience. Square-Enix claims that Gun Loco will bring a whole new approach to third-person action games. The game will feature a run-and-gun aspect, which will encourage players to constantly be on the move while chasing or being chased by enemies.

Gun Loco takes place on a planet where the criminals of the universe are imprisoned. These criminals have no laws and walls to keep them confined. Players will have to fight alongside one of the many factions on the ruined planet for their freedom.

According to Square-Enix, Gun Loco will have a unique set of modes, including 12-player online matches. There are also seven different climates and an array of different multiplayer player maps for gamers to enjoy. Gun Loco will feature character designs by Kenny Wong, founder of Kennyswork and Brothersfree, which are both collectible toy lines.

Gun Loco looks to be a promising new game for the Xbox 360. Gamers should look out for this game when it’s released in 2011.
