Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo Available Now

Square Enix has finally released the infamous Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo that everyone has been dying to play since it leaked back in January on the PlayStation Store.

The file size for the demo clocks in at an impressive 7.6GB giving players access to the first chapter in the Final Fantasy VII Remake, the familiar Mako Reactor 1 bombing mission.

Here is an overview from Square Enix:

In FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE, players will be drawn into a world where the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation, controls the planet’s very life force. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche. The first game in the project is set in the city of Midgar, and is a fully standalone gaming experience designed for RPG players that crave unforgettable characters, a powerful story and the ability to choose their style of play with a battle system that merges thrilling real-time action with strategic, command-based combat.

The demo features three different modes, consisting of Easy, Normal and Classic for those who want turn-based gameplay.

One thing to note is that the progress of the demo will not carry over to the full game upon release. Also as a bonus, players who download the demo from 4/10/2020 - 5/11/2020, will receive an exclusive theme when the game launches. Final Fantasy VII Remake is in development for PlayStation 4 with a launch date of 4/10/20.

We are nearing the home stretch and I cannot wait to explore Midgar once again.
