Magical Mirai will be held in Osaka during August 11-13 and Tokyo during September 1-3. You can choose between a daytime show and a nighttime show, and it also includes access to exhibits. There are two seat options and the cost of the ticket is either 9700 yen for the SS tier seat (center of venue) and 8700 yen for the S tier seat (rear and edge of venue).

There's also a separate accommodation plan for foreigners which includes hotel rooms and special goods. This year, the special goods are a luggage tax and a mesh pouch. Osaka and Tokyo have two different tags and pouches, so take a look. There are different price levels depending on how close you want your hotel to be. Some hotels are within walking distance while others are a train or bus ride away.

Note that the accommodation plan has a different (and earlier ending) application period than the ticket applications!

The ticket lottery is open between April 21 and May 22. Accommodations are open between April 24 and May 15.  Lottery results will be announced on May 27.  This gives you plenty of time to map out your trip and snag a decent deal on a flight.
