Band-Maid's long awaited return to the United States has finally been announced!

Sadly for me, the San Francisco show was sold out before I even got a chance to buy a ticket. I was unfortunately out of cell signal for the entire day. Such is life when training in the middle of nowhere. Indicators show that it sold out in roughly an hour and a half.

Earlier this year, Band-Maid hinted at a tour, but details were sparse. All we knew is that it was going to (or at least planned to) occur sometime in 2022. Where and when exactly was still a mystery.

Well, wonder no more. They'll be stopping by your usual haunts in the US but with the addition of quite a few more. You can actually call it a respectable tour now, as opposed to the few stops during their last tour. I last saw Band-Maid in 2017 at their J-Pop Summit Appearance. They did have a tour in 2018 but due to the tiny venue, I was unable to attend. I did have a friend snag a shirt for me, though.

California will be served by solo stops in San Francisco and Los Angeles. They'll also be playing at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento but most likely with an abbreviated time slot.

The San Francisco show will be at August Hall which is slightly bigger than their last venue, the Chapel, but still very small, if the instant sell-out is any indicator. Los Angeles is at the Belasco, which I have yet to attend a show at.

For those of you who don't know Band-Maid, they're a Japanese rock band that has been around for about a decade at this point. As the name might suggest, they are maids. Maids that rock out. Don't let the outfits deceive you; they're legit musicians.

Band-Maid's most recent release was "Sense," back in October of 2021. This was used as the OP theme for the anime Platinum End.
