Studio Trigger Adapting Kota Nozomi’s Inou-Battle in the Usually Daze

With their highly successful animated series Kill la Kill rapidly approaching its inevitable conclusion, it was announced on the wraparound jacket of Kota Nozomi's Inō-Battle wa Nichijō-kei no Naka de (Inou-Battle in the Usually Daze) sixth volume that Studio Trigger will be adapting the light novel series as their next animation project.

The prequel to the award-winning 2012 mystery adventure title Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, Aksys Games announced that they will be releasing Chunsoft's 999: Zero Escape, Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors as a "traditional" visual novel on the iOS on March 17th for $4.99.

North American video game publisher XSEED Games has announced that they will be bringing Acquire's adventure game Akiba's Trip 2 to the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita as Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed later this summer.

In a rather non-surprising move for Persona fans, Atlus USA has announced two new Persona games for release later this year: Persona Q (3DS) and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (PS3/Xbox 360). Coming 2015 is the much-anticipated JRPG Persona 5 for the PlayStation 3, as well as the dancing spinoff Persona 4: Dancing All Night for the Vita.

Steins; Gate release March 31st

Last week, English visual novel novel publisher JASTUSA posted an official trailer for their much-anticipated release of nitroplus' visual novel Steins;Gate. In addition to the trailer, it was announced that the game has gone "golden master" status. Which means that the limited edition of the game is already heading towards the pressers and will be released on March 31st, 2014 in both hard copy and download forms for $59.95. The standard physical edition will be released a month later on April 30th for $39.95.

Jason Young jump started his career in media journalism back in 2006, writing news articles and reviews  for the video game website Gaming Target. His platforms/genres included the Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2/3 and visual novels. His natural writing talents eventually landed him with an on-staff position at one of the top video game content sites GameZone where he learned the art of news writing and covering events. Utilizing his professional experience, he eventually found the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation's (SPJA's) news and content website Inside- AX- Anime Expo back in 2010 and continued to run it until he joined The-O Network in 2012.

As one of the more experienced writers on the team, he currently manages editorials, reviews and news posts. During conventions he is often participating in interviews as lead interviewer whether it's for game developers, industry veterans or voice actors/actresses. His most memorable convention experience occurred at Anime Expo 2013, when he managed to move Little Witch Academia voice actress Megumi Han to tears after giving her a special gift.

In his free time, Jason is an avid runner, swimmer and biker.

New Demon Gaze Screenshots Reveals NPC Characters

NIS America has released a new batch of screenshots for their upcoming dungeon-crawling RPG Demon Gaze, which will be released on the PlayStation Vita on April 22 in North America and April 25 in Europe. The title will be released in both retail and digital formats.

Amongst great food and even better company in San Francisco last night, English video game publisher NIS America announced four titles last night: Battle Princess of Arcadias (PS3 – PSN only), Disgaea®4: A Promise Revisited (PS Vita), Danganronpa™ 2: Goodbye Despair (PS Vita) and Fairy Fencer F™ (PS3). Each of the titles will be released later this year towards the fall/winter season, so gamers get your wallets ready and prepare to stock up on some good ole firewood. It’s going to be an epic winter.

Good Smile Company has announced that they are now taking pre-orders at their online shop for new figures including fan-favorite Vocaloid Hatsune Miku, Armin Arlert from Attack on Titan and Shinobu Oshino and Nadeko Sengoku from Bakemonogatari. The figures will be shipped between June and July of this year, with pre-orders closing soon.

Originally leaked by Amazon.com this morning, video game publisher Aksys Games has confirmed that the company will be releasing the BlazBlue-based visual novel XBlaze Code: Embryo on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita this summer. Amazon currently has the game set for release on June 24 at $39.99.
