The store is filled with elaborate displays full of cardboard cutouts and the occasional dioramas and figurines. We also saw a gazillion displays for Monster Hunter 3 (yeah we get the point Japan, you guys love it.)
There's roughly 2 isles devoted to gashapon machines with some repeating ones. Our photographer tried his hands at the gashapon machines failing miserably at obtaining a Rei keychain figurine he wanted from the mini series Evangelion@School. He ended up with 2 sets of Shinji and Kaiwaro, and an Asuka costing 200 yen each.
We ended somehow in the adult section of the DVD area and oddly enough, we found a large collection of anime related sketches and autographs on display made out to the store including a sketch of Saber from Fate/Stay Night.
We headed up to the 8th floor where all the restaurants are located and decided on a ramen house. As usual my favorite, I ordered a miso ramen for 930 yen from the vending machine and obviously, it was better than anything I’ve had back home. The pork melts in your mouth and the ramen has a perfect crispness to it. Broth was nicely done though it wasn’t as rich and thick as I would have liked it.
After eating, we made a quick stop at the books and manga floor and took a few photos of the sketches and original manga pages on display before leaving.
Near the main entrance, there was a decent crowd of people outside of Yodobashi all playing their DS. Apparently, there was some sort of event for Dragon Quest IX there. All we know is that whenever we passed by there, whether it be day or night, there were always people there playing.
