[GSC] Nendoroid Petit Angel Beats! Set 02

Goodsmile Company's latest release comes in the form of another Nendoroid Petit set! This time they release the 2nd set of Angel Beats! characters. This time the set features Tenshi, the flat-chested student council president, Otonashi, the main protagonist of the series, and finally the adorable vocalist and guitarist of the band Girls Dead Monster, Yui!

Each figure comes with optional items, such as Tenshi's Hand Sonic parts, Otonashi's gun and Yui's guitar, allowing for a variety of different poses and scenes to be remade in Nendoroid form. Tenshi also comes with two facial expressions: her standard emotionless face, as well as the smiling face that she showed in the final episode.

I'd personally say this set is far better than the first one, given they put Yui, Otonashi and Tenshi together in a single set. I was thinking they would've split these characters up, considering their popularity. But no matter, the set retails for 2,000 yen at your local hobby shops and is available for pre-order right now! The petit set should be set for release sometime in November. Keep your wallets full as there are sure to be more sets coming in the future!

ichiban_01Based on a recently completed series in Japan, Good Smile Company released a quick Nendoroid Petit set of Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou (いちばんうしろの大魔王).  All the unique traits of the heroines captured in Nenoroid form.  This set features petite Nendoroids of the girls that appeared around Akuto's side during the show.  The set includes Keena Soga, the mysterious and spontaneous flying girl, as well as Junko Hattori, the earnest and pure class representative and finally Korone, the Liladan android that was put in charge of watching Akuto.

Each girl also comes with their own respective optional parts, such as a rice tub for Keena, a sword for Junko and Korone's 'mystical tool'.  Each figure also comes with an additional comedic expression for some extra laughs.  A variety of ways to enjoy the girls of the show in adorable Nendoroid form!

[COSPA] Fate Testarossa Movie Version

cospa_fate_01So in-line with Alter's recent release of their 1/7 Fate Testarossa Movie Version PVC Figure, COSPA was quick to also put out their own version.  Though less advertised, COSPA's version is definitely something you do not want to miss.  This figure by COSPA has it’s advantages over the Alter release, as the entire figure is not suspended in the air.  Though lacking in the awesome pose, Fate’s cape is still something to behold.  The facial expression is a lot more serene as Fate is captured in a non-action scene.

nendoroid_yui_live_stage_thumbWith Wonder Festival Summer 2010 creeping around the corner, companies could not but help leak some of the goodies that will be available for order or pre-order.

Last Wonder Festival we saw two Nendroids; Mio and Ritsu, both in their Live Stage outfits.  With the second season anime just as popular as ever, K-ON! is getting more Nendoroid treatment, this time featuring both the guitarist "Yui Hirasawa" and the keyboardist "Tsumugi Kotobuki" wearing the costumes they wore at Sakura High's Festival.

Both figures come with two different expressions as well as their respective instruments, and Yui even comes with castanets to recreate the ever-popular "Untan ♪" scene! The set also comes with a di:stage for them to perform on till their heart's are content!

[GSC] Nendoroid Petit Angel Beats! Set 01

angel_beats_nendo_set01Angel Beats! has seen it's fair share of Nendoroid Petit figures showing up in various magazines.  The August 2010 issue of Dengeki G's magazine comes with a Nendoroid Petit Tenshi figure.  The G's Festival Deluxe Vol. 06 magazine (Angel Beats! Edition) came with a Yuri Nendoroid Petit figure.  But now, finally and officially, Good Smile Company has opened reservations for their first Nendoroid Petit Angel Beats! Set.  This is the first set of possibly three total.  This set features Yuri, Shiina and Yusa.  An odd choice for combination, but none-the-less, still very cute.

asuka_plug_suit_thumbAs seen in the Rebuild of Evangelion movies, You Can (Not) Advance, this figure is modeled after Asuka in the special test plug suit as she prepares to pilot the experimental Eva Unit 03.  Alter has spent a great time to polish the details on this figure.

The cables that run through the test plug suit physically pop out and hold a unique texture.  The use of rubble and distorted steel beams for the structure create a perfect atmosphere for the scene.

[GSC] Yui Inaba PVC Figure

yui_inaba_thumbOnce again, Good Smile Company has proven to us that they have not lost their touch.  This figure is based on an illustration by the popular artist, Noizi Ito, and has been sculpted to keep all the characteristics of the original illustration as carefully as possible.  The character is Yui Inaba in the visual novel Flyable Hearts.

Everything from the pose, to the donut, to the cute expression on Yui's face has been captured without fail.  The color accuracy of this figure is probably the one factor that will stand out the most.
