Volks has announced they will be releasing a Dollfie Dream version of Saber Lily from the Playstation 2 fighting game Fate Unlimited Codes. Volks had previously released Fate/hollow ataraxia Saber and as Saber Alter back in 2008 and 2009 respectively. Both dolls are still currently highly sought after by collectors and are commonly sold on Yahoo Auction for over $1500 USD. The head sculpt appears slightly different from the previous versions noticeably the lack of the baby on the cheeks, a pointier chin, and some makeup blush applied.
She will be released on December 12, 210 at Volks' Dolls Party 24 and interested buyers should expect some high competition as this Dollfie will be another lottery item exclusive. Note that she will probably retail for around $1000 USD. Keep an eye on Volks' International page and for Americans, keep an eye on Volks USA website for lottery details. Goodsmile Company's latest release comes in the form of another Nendoroid Petit set! This time they release the 2nd set of Angel Beats! characters. This time the set features Tenshi, the flat-chested student council president, Otonashi, the main protagonist of the series, and finally the adorable vocalist and guitarist of the band Girls Dead Monster, Yui!
Each figure comes with optional items, such as Tenshi's Hand Sonic parts, Otonashi's gun and Yui's guitar, allowing for a variety of different poses and scenes to be remade in Nendoroid form. Tenshi also comes with two facial expressions: her standard emotionless face, as well as the smiling face that she showed in the final episode.
I'd personally say this set is far better than the first one, given they put Yui, Otonashi and Tenshi together in a single set. I was thinking they would've split these characters up, considering their popularity. But no matter, the set retails for 2,000 yen at your local hobby shops and is available for pre-order right now! The petit set should be set for release sometime in November. Keep your wallets full as there are sure to be more sets coming in the future!
Goodsmile Company posted teaser photos on their blog of some of the items that will be on display at the upcoming Summer Wonder Festival. Amongst those photos were three interesting ones. One portrays a pair of legs kneeling on top of a desk which resembles Tsubasa Hanekawa in the fifth DVD cover for Bakemonogatari. The second picture is a bit more vague, only featuring a stack of books and what appears to be a girl in a skirt (possibly wearing spats) sitting on top of more books. This somewhat resembles the third DVD cover of Bakemonogatari featuring Suruga Kanbaru. The last one is of Nadeko Sengoku fully painted in her DVD cover pose and background. Hopefully she will have interchangeable legs for collectors who wish to display her fully.

Good Smile Company really likes teasing us. Posted on their Facebook page, they recently uploaded pictures of their latest Nendoroid Petit set: Racing Miku Set 2010 Version. Featuring Miku, Rin and Luka all in racing/pit-stop outfits, this set is sure to be another hit. Like the previous Nendoroid Petit Miku Racing set, this package also features another Nendoroid race car. Users that missed out on the exclusive and limited full-sized Nendoroid Racing Miku now have a chance to recapture her in petit form! The release date and exclusiveness for this Nendoroid Petit set is unknown, but usually when Good Smile Company posts images on their Facebook, the figure in question becomes available for pre-order in a couple of days. So keep your eyes peeled and check your local online retailer.
Seen previously as an unpainted prototype, Alter will finally be releasing the theatrical figure version of Fate Testarossa. The figure appears to come with 2 separate weapons and a possibility of interchangeable arms for different poses. Alter is no stranger to figures from the Nanoha series having released a ton of them. The figure is skillfully sculpted from the attention to the physical details of the cape and hair, to the baby fat in Fate's arm. Unfortunately as a consistent complaint I have had with Alter figures are the plain bases. Hopefully the finalized product will break the mold. Fate will be released in late November with an estimated wallet sinking retail price of 12,390 yen. Pictures included inside.
With Wonder Festival Summer 2010 creeping around the corner, companies could not but help leak some of the goodies that will be available for order or pre-order.
Last Wonder Festival we saw two Nendroids; Mio and Ritsu, both in their Live Stage outfits. With the second season anime just as popular as ever, K-ON! is getting more Nendoroid treatment, this time featuring both the guitarist "Yui Hirasawa" and the keyboardist "Tsumugi Kotobuki" wearing the costumes they wore at Sakura High's Festival.
Both figures come with two different expressions as well as their respective instruments, and Yui even comes with castanets to recreate the ever-popular "Untan ♪" scene! The set also comes with a di:stage for them to perform on till their heart's are content!
