Boogie with Haruhi on Wii

hare hare yukaiFor everyone who never got the chance to spasm out of control to the beat of "Hare Hare Yukai", here's your chance...sort of. The third game of a trio based on the hit anime will be released on the Wii, and it's a dancing game in which you time your wiimote with Haruhi and company. A few details can be glanced from two scans from Canned Dogs : There will be a story mode and a free mode in which costumes, levels, and music can be interchanged to your liking. Dreams of dancing with the entire cast of Haruhi characters may be out of reach - the dancing will be limited to three characters at one time. For the particular collector of plastic Haruhi hummels, there will be a version of the game packed with a figure.

Gackpoid - Gackt takes over Vocaloid

Gackpoid Miku
I thought this was an April Fool's joke rearing its ugly head again, but I guess the jokes on me. Musical sensation Gackt will provide his voice for Gackpoid, a Japanese singing synthesizer utilizing an engine in the same vein as Vocaloid 2 by Yamaha Corporation. Many of you may have heard of Vocaloid and still have no idea what it is or does but may still be able to recognize its uber-popular mascot, virtual idol Hatsune Miku. Vocaloid enables users to synthesize singing by just typing in lyrics and melody. Now you can sing just like Gackt!

Gackpoid is tentatively set for a mid-June release this year.

Honestly, I'm quite unfamiliar to the Vocaloid craze, but I'm no stranger to Gackt. Click here for a sample of Gackpoid titled "Grandfather's Clock"

SF Chun Li Kristin Do you remember the 1994 live-action Street Fighter movie? Do you remember how shockingly bad it was? Well apparently Hollywood doesn't, that's why we're getting tripe such as Street Fighter - The Legend of Chun Li. Joint produced by Hyde Park Entertainment and Capcom Ltd., The Legend of Chun Li is slated for a 2008 release, which so happens to be the 20th anniversary of the vaunted game franchise. Andrzej Bartkowiak will direct the movie from a script by Justin Marks.

While the plot is being kept under wraps, what we do know is the roster of pugilists making an appearance in the film. Fan favorites Chun Li (duh), Bison, Vega, Gen, and Balrog are set to enter the ring, followed by newcomers Maya, Huang, Cantana, and Zhilan. Whether or not SF veterans Ryu and Ken will appear in the film is unknown.

Will this new flick best Street Fighter's last attempt at silver screen ass kicking? Probably. Will it be any good? Only time will tell. On the bright side, Smallville hottie Kristin Kreuk will play Chun Li!

Hit the jump for a link to the rest of the movie cast and a first look of actress Moon Bloodgood as Det. Maya Sunee, a new character in the Street Fighter universe. (To read more, click "Read More")
Medicom Code Geass newsI was coerced into watching Code Geass. I went into it prepared to absolutely hate it, but to my dismay I couldn't bring myself to dislike the series. I am now filled with chagrin that I waited so long to jump on the bandwagon. Now that I have caught up in the series and have been caught in the powerful grasp of Geass, I decided to search for some cool franchise collectibles. Lo and behold, I needn't seach long.
