Aniplex has been holding the Aniplex Online Fest since 2020. It was originally used as a replacement for their usual convention schedule and now serves as a supplemental event putting a spotlight on a number of their franchises. They'll be coming back once again for another star-studded and anime-filled event next month.
Aniplex has a tradition of bringing big name guests to Anime Expo, and this year is no different. For 2022, they have Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Sword Art Online, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Disney's Twisted-Wonderland, and Fate/Grand Order on tap. Even better, they have Japanese guests, which if you've looked at conventions nowadays, have been in short supply due to the state of the world.
The third event of 2020's July Fourth weekend is Aniplex Online Fest. Much like FunimationCon, Aniplex Online Fest is all about Aniplex's own franchises and IP. Aniplex Online Fest takes place on July 4-5.

Attendees this morning in Seattle for Sakura-Con couldn’t help but notice the cut out displays and banner from the mobile game Fate/Grand Order (Fate/GO) at the Aniplex booth.
Aniplex of America is the distributor for the animated short, Fate/Grand Order First Order; however, fans will note instead of using the key art from the animation, Aniplex has opted to use the artwork from the mobile game Fate/Grand Order. Aniplex is also set for a major announcement at 11AM PST tomorrow morning during their panel. In addition, while this may be a coincidence, a press conference will be held tomorrow at Sakura-Con to “unveil a major Anime series that will have a new game launching in the US in 2017.” A number of key staff members affiliated with Fate/GO has been rumored to be in attendance.
In 2016, Fate/Go was released in China by biligame, so the likelihood of the game to be released internationally in other territories is a possibility based on the success and popularity of the franchise. Another possibility is the announcement may be related to the VR exclusive title for the Playstation 4 Fate/Grand Order VR which was first shown to the public last month during AnimeJapan held at the Tokyo Big Sight.
As we have staff onsite at Sakura-Con, we'll keep you updated and will also be present for the press conference tomorrow.
