Comiket 78 Akiba Shopping Photos

Written by

Akiba Blog has posted photos of some of the Comic Market (Comiket) shopping frenzy that's happening in Akihabara. Comiket, one of the largest doujinshi events in the world, is happening in Japan. Though the actual event is held at the Tokyo Big Site in Odaiba, Comiket fever runs rampant in the street of Akihabara. Many of the more popular books are available for purchase at retailers such as Toranoana, Melon Books, and at K-Books. People can also buy and sell some of the limited goods they've picked up at Comiket in Akihabara. Shoppers typically end up having to wait in line outside the store to take the elevator up to the floors selling doujinshis as shown in the second picture timestamped 16:24. Locker spaces are also available for rent (17:05). Definitely an experience all anime fans should experience at least once.
Update: Akiba Blog has posted more photos for a different day.

His purple haired vixen, Shion Fujimo, has become somewhat iconic in the hentai, or adult animation, community. Originally published in 2006 in three volumes, the overall popularity of the series led to a two volume revised Complete Edition released in 2010. The series has also received a hentai anime adaptation released by Pink Pineapple in 2007, with a second season released in 2008. See what Inu had to say about his works, life, and a little about his thoughts on the recent rise of fan groups translating and uploading doujinshis online.

Written by

It's not a secret that Japanese musical group supercell has grown significantly in fame within the last year. Since our last interview with the group's lead composer ryo, and vocalist nagi, supercell's music has recently appeared as an ending song for the popular anime adaptation of Naruto. Another song titled Hoshi ga matataku konna Yoru ni, will appear in Type-Moon's upcoming game Witch on the Holy Night (Mahotsukai no Yoru). Type-Moon is probably best known for creating the Fate/stay night series. Both songs will be available in their third major album slated to be released in Japan on August 25, 2010. Interested fans can get their copies of the CD at PlayAsia.
