Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal Season 2 (Blu-ray) Review stars

When I was first informed of the re-make of my favorite childhood series, I was ecstatic. I was head over heels for all things Sailor Moon before it was even brought over to the West. I had the trading cards, artbooks, and basically anything I could get my hands on. I watched the anime but only a few episodes a month as they were difficult to get a hold of. I wanted to learn Japanese, so I can read the manga as they were released. I copied art from the artbooks and wanted to be a manga artist. Sailor Moon inspired me to draw and was my gateway drug to all things anime.

Yona of the Dawn Volume 2 Review stars

Volume two (chapters 6 - 11) of Yona of the Dawn was released in early October and did not disappoint. In this volume, Yona and Hak arrives in the city of Fuuga, the capital of the Wind Tribe. Their sense of safety was short-lived when the Fire Tribe starts harassing the citizens of Fuuga in pursuit of Hak, who is suspected of kidnapping the princess and murdering the king.

Akatsuki no Yona, or Yona of the Dawn, is written by Mizuho Kusanagi and began in 2009. It is an on-going publication in the bi-monthly magazine, Hana to Yume. It was announced at Comic Con 2015 that Viz Media would be bringing it to North America for English fans.

VIZ Unveils Shonen Jump Alpha stars

news shonen jump alphaThe event held by VIZ Media on Saturday, January 28th at the West Hollywood Library in Los Angeles was to introduce their brand-new digital manga website, Shonen Jump Alpha, to the public. The new format is going to replace the printed version of Shonen Jump Weekly.  With a mini-convention feel to it, it featured tons of cosplayers, raffles, snacks, goodie bags and of course a sneak preview of Shonen Jump Alpha. In Japan, the issues of Shonen Jump are weekly and for that reason most people in Japan don't keep them. They just read them and dispose of them like they would with any other newspaper-style format.
