New video streaming collaboration group, Daisuki.net will be bringing Company Director Mitsutoshi Kubota from the animation studio Shaft to Anime Expo for a special industry panel on July 4 at 6:15PM in room LP2. The panel will include a special screening of Nekomonogatari (Black) and a limited number of free t-shirts will be available.
Daisuki.net has also announced they will streaming a semi-simulcast of Monogatari Series Second Season for free.
Shaft has produced series such as Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Bakemonogatari.
Starting July 6th, Monogatari Series: Second Season will be aired as a continuation of the anime adaption of Nisio Ishin's popular Monogatari light novel series.
Continuing the release of NisiOisin's Monogatari series, Aniplex released a new trailer for the anime adaptation of Nekomonogatari (Black). The series will premiere on December 31 from 10PM to 12AM on NicoNico, Tokyo MX, and BS11. All 4 episodes will be aired in succession with the first volume of the Blu-ray and DVD release on March 6, 2013 and the second on April 3, 2013. Nekomonogatari (Black) is a prequel to the original series Bakemonogatari and a sequel to the upcoming Kizumonogatari film adaptation.
Arakawa Under the Bridge is an anime adaption of Hikaru Nakamura’s ongoing work in Young Gan Gan. It was produced by studio Shaft and broadcasted in Japan on April 2010. Nakamura Sensei is known for her previous work, Saint Young Men, which was the tenth best manga series in 2009 and received the 2009 Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize for short work manga. Arakawa Under the Bridge will have a live action film in the spring of 2012 in Japan. Hit the jump for the full review!
