Noriyuki Iwadare Interview @ Japan Expo USA stars

Hosting its inaugural anime convention in the United States, Japan Expo USA treated its convention attendees to a number of high-profile Guests of Honor ranging from the video game industry legends to infamous mangaka from Japan. We had a special opportunity to sit down with Ace Attorney series and Lunar: the Silver Star Story composer Noriyuki Iwadare while he was here to perform a few concerts with his band in front of his many adoring fans. Find out what inspired the man's brilliant musical career and a little bit about his upcoming soundtrack for Ace Attorney 5: Dual Destinies, soon to be released in English later this year!

Starmarie Interview @ AX 2013 stars

While at Anime Expo 2013, we got a chance to interview unique J-Pop artists STARMARIE whose group features three members Shino Takamori, Nozomi Kishita and Shiori Aoki. Known mostly for their dark, fantastical twist on the J-POP genre in Japan, these girls straddle both the lighter and darker sides of music with their original lyrics and creepy/cool-style dance moves. Fresh off the release of their second album, "Fantasy World 2," learn all about their individual personalities and backstories as we interview them after their US live debut concert.

She performed a number of her hit songs including, "Crazy for You," "Vacancy" from the fantasy-mech anime series Xam'd: Lost Memories, and a surprise and heartfelt cover of Katy Perry's "Firework." While at FanimeCon 2013, our T-ONO senior editor, Jason, had a chance to sit down with up-and-coming Japanese pop band, 7!! Oops who has worked on a number of classic anime hits, including the opening "Lovers" from Naruto: Shippuuden and "Bye Bye" from Kimi to Boku. ClariS Exclusive 1st English Interview stars

Japanese pop music idol duo ClariS has caused a huge stir in Japan and have caught the attention of mainstream media for starting their career when they were only in junior high school. While the pair has not revealed their true identities, they are best recognized through their illustrations drawn by popular artists often from the anime titles they are involved in. Their music has appeared in popular anime series such as Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Nisemonogatari. Learn more about the duo and find out how they feel to have their first album "Birthday," released in the United States (iTunesAmazon)! May'n SF Concert Photos and Video Interview stars

After a spectacular performance in Los Angeles, Japanese popstar May Nakabayashi also known by her stage name as May'n, headed to her next location, Yoshi's Jazz Club and Japanese Restaurant in San Francisco on June 23, 2012. The concert was part of her world tour titled "ROCK YOUR BEATS."

ANIMETAL USA Interview @ Anime Expo 2012 stars

Anime heavy metal band ANIMETAL USA shredded their way through the Los Angeles Convention Center during Anime Expo 2012, and we had a chance to sit down with them this year. Our resident staffers, Salvador Mateos, Jason Young and Theodore Mak talked to the group about their history and their inspiration for creating heavy metal covers of various anime songs including “Pegasus” and “Rock Lee.”
