Megaman Zero Collection Coming Stateside

Shortly after being announced for release in Japan, Megaman Zero Collection for the DS will also come to North American shores. Fans can look forward to all four Megaman Zero games from the GBA in one card Summer 2010. No word yet on whether there will be graphical updates, but hopefully they will touch up the sprites. On the other hand, the press release mentions new modes, but there are no further details at this time. This comes as great news to Megaman fans waiting for something new to play. It's refreshing to see Capcom respond to fans' demand for this game to come stateside so quickly; now let's hope they do something about the boxart for Super Street Fighter IV...

Gundam vs Gundam NEXT PLUS Review

Following in its predecessor's path, Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs Gundam NEXT PLUS is the PSP port of the arcade hit Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs Gundam NEXT. While a solid game, Gundam vs Gundam had its fair share of problems that needed to be addressed. A slew of new gameplay options and an expanded mobile suit roster make Gundam vs Gundam NEXT PLUS the best game Gundam fans can own for either portables or consoles.

While they won't be appearing for a live, members of X Japan will make a public U.S. appearance together on January 9th, 2009 in Hollywood. The band will be filming four music videos that day, closing down Hollywood Boulevard in the process. Fans can sign up for more information through J Rock Nation. Since this will be one night only event, be sure to sign up and not miss this historic band's first American appearance!

Update: Added press release.

No lie, I thought I was watching a Persona trailer. Either way, get hype! Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars for the Wii comes in less than a month! American fighting game fans who don't pirate their Wii games can finally rejoice. And remember, this isn't an inferior version to the originally released Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes! It will feature Frank West from Dead Rising, Zero from Megaman X (!), Yami of Okami, Tekkaman Blade from...Tekkaman Blade, and Joe the Condor from Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. This is such a big expansion that even Japan will be getting a release!

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift on American Soil!

Are you a BlazBlue fan? Will you be in Southern California on November 14th? Are you tired of v-13 players mashing on and breaking the D button? Then head out to Active Gamers LA's Triple Threat tournament, which will feature the new BlazBlue: Continuum Shift. Not only can you be amongst the first to try the game, but Aksys Games will be on site to hand out free schwag as well! Hit the jump for more.

(Update: John Nelson of Active Gamers LA has just informed us that there were some technical difficulties with the last build of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Aksys Games had; as a result, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is not 100% confirmed at Triple Threat, but both Aksys Games and Active Gamers LA will do their best to bring the game out for fans at Triple Threat.)

Hosted by Active Gamers LA at the Hanger Athletic Xchange, the same host and venue for the Tekken 6 Launch Party, Triple Threat will be the largest fighting game tournament we've had in a while. As the image says, each game will have prizes totaling $2200, bringing out some of the best pros the west coast has to offer and the US National Street Fighter IV champion Justin Wong.
