New Mai-Hime Project Announced

maihime maoWork on a new Mai-Hime project is underway, this time with a new heroine named Mao. Not much in the way of significant info, though. Until then we'll keep our eyes on the official Japanese website , where this announcement originated.
 

'Shikabane Hime' - Gainax's New TV Series

shikabane himeI'm a bit late to the party, I know, but bear with me. ANN confirmed a couple days ago that Gainax's new TV series is Shikabane Hime, a TV adaptation of a horror manga with the same name. Hiroyuki Yamaga and Gurren Lagann producer Yasuhiro Takeda will co-produce while Chikashi Kubota, director of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, will design the characters including protagonist of the new series Makina Hoshimura. Shikabane Hime will air this fall.

Macross Frontier New Songs Leaked

 Those remembering Ranka singing "Watashi no Kare wa Pilot" from episode 4, well it seems a full low quality version of the song has been leaked online. "What 'bout my Star?" from episode 1 and 5 by Sheryl Nome is also out along with "Infinity" from episode 7.

Haruhi Website trickles out new info

yukiThe official website for The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi anime has updated its homepage, and now features Yuki instead of Haruhi, who has recently "disappeared". Also updated is the staff list for the second series, which lists director Tatsuya Ishihara and assistant director Yasuhiro Takemoto (both of whom worked on the first season) as returning. Keep your eyes peeled for the July issue of Newtype, as it is expected to contain more info on the whereabouts of Suzumiya Haruhi.
